Winemaker Jean-Pierre Wolff's tasting notes on current vintages

2012 Chardonnay Old Vine
The 2012 Chardonnay Old Vines has a forward nose of tropical fruit and a rich mid-palate with smooth buttery undertones. The wine is well balanced with a touch of sweet almond and citrusy acidity on light toasted oak providing for a long complex finish.

2013 Dry Alsatian Style Riesling
A fruity wine with light tropical and floral notes, lime and orange blossoms can be detected as well. The cool climate acidity combined with a hint of sweetness exhibits a long finish to this elegant and balanced wine.

2014 White Wolff
This aromatic white Rhone blend is comprised of Viognier, Roussanne, Semillion and Riesling. It has complex flavors of floral honey suckle, stone fruit and melon. The finish includes minerally tones, zesty and bright for a refreshing and easy to drink white wine.

2013 Pinot Noir
Just released - this traditional Burgundian style wine provides black cherry and strawberry notes. A hint of cola, white pepper and earthy undertones adds to the complexity. The finish has good acidity backbone with light toasted oak and refined tannins.

2012 Syrah
The 2012 Syrah exhibits its Edna Valley grown ocean marine influence taste profile of a Northern Rhone style cool climate Syrah. The resulting flavors include stewed black plums, roasted meat and a mid-palate of white pepper and spice. The finish is well balanced with refine tannins, a trace of smoke and minerality providing for a rich full bodied red wine.

2012 Petite Sirah
A well balanced and full bodied red wine with roasted black cherry flavors, ripe plums, light white pepper and spicy tones. The finish is smooth and elegant with refined tannins and light toasted oak.

2012 Red Wolff
A rich red wine comprised of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Malbec and Petit Verdot. This blend provides layers of flavors without pursuing a dominating variety distinction. This is a red wine with vibrant mouth feel, complexity and is easy to drink.

2013 Teroldego
Teroldego is a rarely grown grape in the U.S. originating from the Northern Italian Tyrolean area of Trentino-Alto Adige. This big and rich inky dark red wine is seriously lively, exhibits fruity flavors of dark berry and aromatic wood with a finish of soft tannins with bright acidity
