Winemaker Jean-Pierre Wolff's tasting notes on current vintages

2015 Dry Alsatian Style Riesling
A fruity wine with light tropical and floral notes interlaced with lime and orange blossoms. The cool climate acidity combined with a hint of sweetness exhibits a long finish to this elegant and balanced wine.

2015 White Wolff
This aromatic white is a blend of Rhone and Spanish varieties comprised of Marsanne, Albarino and Grenache Blanc.  It has layers of flavors including pear, honeydew melon, citrus, floral notes and minerality.  The finish is zesty and bright for a refreshing easy to drink white wine.

2016 Chardonnay Old Vine
This Chardonnay has a forward nose of tropical fruit, ripe pineapple and guava with light buttery undertones. A long finish is balanced with Citrus acidity on light toasted oak.

2017 Rosé Wolff
The Rose Wolff is produced from a blend of Grenache grapes sourced from Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo County.  This dry Provence style wine provides flavors of watermelon, ripe strawberry and soft floral notes.  The mid-palate is balanced by minerality and the long finish is refreshing with bright acidity.

2015 Pinot Noir
This Pinot Noir has a bright red fruit profile with strawberry jam, black cherry, and raspberry interlaced with white pepper. The focused finish has a good acid backbone with light toasted oak and smooth tannins.

2014 Red Wolff
A rich red wine blend comprised of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Grenache and Nebbiolo. This blend provides layers of flavors without pursuing a dominating variety distinction. This red wine has vibrant mouth feel, complexity and is easy to drink.

2015 Syrah
This Syrah has stewed red berries, black cherry and ripe plum aroma layered with spice and white pepper. Refined tannins provide a full-bodied finish with toasty nuances.

2017 Petite Sirah
This Petite Sirah enormously ripe and extracted flavors, huge cassis, roasted black cherry and wild berry with crushed pepper tones and spices. The structured finish has firm tannins with toasted oak.

2017 Teroldego
This rare Italian Tyrolean varietal is inky dark red, seriously lively, and fruit with low tannins and soft acidity for early drinking.
