Winemaker Jean-Pierre Wolff's tasting notes on current vintages

2011 Chardonnay Old Vine
Our  2011 Chardonnay Old Vines is clean and rich in acidity while providing opulent flavors of tropical fruit, a touch of sweet almond, creaminess and buttered toast. A hint of oak in the finish adds structure to this well balanced wine.

2012 Dry Alsatian Style Riesling
A fruity wine with light tropical and floral notes, lime and orange blossoms can be detected as well. The cool climate acidity combined with a hint of sweetness exhibits a long finish to this elegant and balanced wine.

2011 Pinot Noir
This traditional Burgundian style wine provides black cherry and strawberry notes. A hint of cola and white pepper adds to the complexity. The finish has good acidity backbone with light toasted oak and refined tannins.

2012 Syrah
The 2012 Syrah exhibits its Edna Valley grown ocean marine influence taste profile of a Northern Rhone style cool climate Syrah. The resulting flavors include stewed black plums, roasted meat and a mid-palate of white pepper and spice. The finish is well balanced with refine tannins, a trace of smoke and minerality providing for a rich full bodied red wine.

2012 Petite Sirah
A well balanced and full bodied red wine with roasted black cherry flavors, ripe plums, light white pepper and spicy tones. The finish is smooth and elegant with refined tannins and light toasted oak.

2012 Red Wolff
A rich red wine comprised of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Malbec and Petit Verdot. This blend provides layers of flavors without pursuing a dominating variety distinction. This is a red wine with vibrant mouth feel, complexity and is easy to drink.

2013 Teroldego
Teroldego is a rarely grown grape in the U.S. originating from the Northern Italian Tyrolean area of Trentino-Alto Adige. This big and rich inky dark red wine is seriously lively, exhibits fruity flavors of dark berry and aromatic wood with a finish of soft tannins with bright acidity
